DJ Rasta is an open format international DJ with a strong Caribbean background known for his unique style of infusing multiple genres of music into one seamless blend. His passion and love for music has kept it deeply embedded in his heart allowing him the ability to showcase his talent by relentlessly rocking parties and events.
After moving from the island of Grenada from which he was born to the diversely populated DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia), Choy was introduced to a vast number of genres different from the Caribbean genres he was used too. Because of this, his immense fascination enabled him to connect even deeper with music which he displays skillfully in his unique style. Choy has captured audiences on different stages, within the US and internationally. His ability has even allowed him the opportunity to open up for Reggae star Wayne Wonder in South Korea. His constant energy, commanding personality and ability to always select the right song keeps everyone on the dance floor craving for more.
“I am very thankful to be blessed to do what I enjoy most. My intent was always to mix music for my personal enjoyment, but because of the support and motivation I received from friends, I decided to reveal my talent to the world. Nothing brings more enjoyment than dancing and listening to your favorite tunes. Delivering the best of Reggae, Soca, Hip Hop, Rhythm and Blues and much more is my passion.”
